Sammy the Elder, first time fishin'

Papa also took Sammy out for an early morning fishing expedition.  Once the fish was caught and shown to her, she was a trifle apprehensive....shy....scared fishless....she didn't like the net or the fish or the smell or the flopping around.  At. All.

Po-der-ator

Sammy decided that she would take a paper bag and collect anything and everything she could lay her hands on and carry them around.  I had to call it off when she opened the PO-DER-ATOR  (her pronounciation) and started throwing hummus and salsa into the bag.  And for what it's worth, I haven't called it a refrigerator since.

Let's go, Papa!

Sammy decided to go with Papa in the skiff to get our boat from the bouy.  She's a great deckhand.

Care to cuddle?

I just need to show off some of these special rolls Olivia has....and two chins.

Two peas in a pod

Can you see the color of the hair here?  The exact SAME color.  Of course, Mommy did put some highlights in her hair a while ago, but still!  Now, we need to start seeing Olivia's hair goes curly.

Say cheese

Sammy now has a Princess camera and is giving me a run for my money with the pictures she's taking.  I imagine that I can just turn this blog over to her soon....

4th Generation

Sammy is the fourth generation on her Daddy's side that I know of that has a clean windshield fetish.  Whenever we go some where, Papa needs to clean the windshield.  When we arrive, he cleans it again.  So does Daddy.  Sammy's great grandfather did the same thing.

Catching up

Uncle Dude and Auntie went to Costco before the trip.  Guess for who?
Sammy's hair after a nap is hysterical!
I've seen this look a couple of times this trip and she always makes me laugh out loud!
Teton Naps.  A specialty of this family.

Glacier water

The temperature is hot outside but the water is a bit cold for little footsies.

Adjusting to the altitude

Who knew that this altitude would be so draining?  Maybe it's why we all LOVE our Teton naps!

Fleece is a must here

It get's pretty chilly in the morning so Sammy keeps snuggly warm in her footed fleece pjs.

Keep your eye on this one

Seriously.  Look at the little smile.  A SMIRK.  This one will look like this right before she steals a forbidden cookie right before dinner time.  Or is found wearing Sammy's favorite pair of jeans to school without permission.  This one, with this little smile, has me WRAPPED, people.  W.R.A.P.P.E.D.

Beautiful Blue eyes

I have to thank Daddy for snapping this great shot of Sammy.  His original appeared on Facebook this past weekend.  And then I got a hold of it!  (yes this is an XL photo so that you can see her incredible face)

I'm full

This is what happened when she got done with her lunch.  What'd she order?  A #12 Lunch Special.  Two burritos, extra sauce, rice and beans.  She was FULL!

Spicy!

Sammy loves to dip her tortilla chips into the salsa!  And if she doesn't eat the whole chip with salsa on it, she merely puts it back into the basket.  So by the time we got down to the lower third of the chips, most were getting soggy.  She would take a bite and then have to have some water.  "Spicy!"

Just a reminder

As most of you know by now, the whole kit and kaboodle family packs up and heads to the Grand Tetons every year.  That time is coming up.  And because we'll be in the FOREST, wifi is hard to come by.  So that being said, there may be a few missed days of the blog.  If that happens, I'll try to double post for you.

Watch out.

Because we see the other two grandkids next to Olivia and we're used to their size, we say, "Oh, look how little she is!"  "How tiny she is!"  "How petite she is!".  This kid will probably grow up and kick the other two's butts.

Yummy in the tummy

Sammy enjoyed eating her corn on the cob.  And Daddy's.  And Papa's.  AND MINE.

Look!

I don't get to see these blue eyes very often because she's always sleeping or eating.  But the other night, she was AWAKE, people, AWAKE!!

(and to one my most faithful readers, Happy Anniversary!)

For a split second

For just a split second, Sammy was content to be held by Papa.  A split second.  A micro-second.  A NANO-second.  And then, she was off running......

Do you measure up?

Sammy has a complete tool box from Home Depot.  It comes with a screw driver, hammer, and tape measure that expands to a whopping 18 inches.  Sammy wanted to measure her belly.  And then mine.  Both were 18 inches.  If I'm lying, I'm dyin.......

Stinky Monkey toes. Again.

There is something about a baby's little squishy fat feet and toes that I just love.
Happy 4th of July everyone!

Time to hit the links

Sammy went out and hit a few with Daddy and Papa the other day.  She 'only' played a few holes because nap time got in the way..........

Monkey see, monkey do I always say.

With all of the activity that surrounds the care of Olivia, Sammy has watched and learned it all.  Please repeat after me in your best Elmo voice.
"Elmo is hungry!  Please feed Elmo!"

followed by:

"Elmo needs to burp!  Please burp Elmo!"

Blowing bubbles

In between the diaper changing, the feeding, the sleeping, and the burping, there is bubble blowing.
