Someone's new pat-pat

Although we all enunciate the word 'backpack' when we talk about them to Sammy, her version is pat-pat or sometimes batpac.  She got this new embroidered backpack to start her new adventure in pre school.  It's a place to put her clothes, I suppose.

Stubborn

This is the look I got when I tried to take a picture of her smile showing her teeth.  What a personality this one has!!  By the way, her other top tooth has finally made it's appearance but I'm sure that it will take me four more months to get her to smile for the camera and show them off!!

First day of Pre-school...grad school will be next. That's how fast it goes.

Later today

Today's photo will appear a bit later.  Sammy starts pre-school today and I need to wait for Mommy's pictures from it.....

Even though she's on the scooter and not the floor, her 'scootin' leg comes up into place ready to roll!

Olivia's cousin, Camden tried to feed her something from his tray.  But as you can see, Olivia didn't quite trust him to put something in her mouth without looking at it first.  This is a good habit to get into with male cousins around.

Fun in the Sun

This was Sammy's first opportunity to play with the new 'water table'.  She had so much but could barely wait for Camden to wake up from his nap so he could play with her too.

Squishy

Yep, homegrown cherry tomatoes.  Yummy in the tummy and a great morning snack for little ones.  Olivia loved squishing them as soon as they hit her mouth so she ended up wearing a lot of seeds on her clothes and her face.  Heck, I was wearing seeds because I was so close to her!

Two things...

1.  She's fully clothed.
2.  All of her fine jewelry found only at the House of Mimi

A mouse in the house

When we returned home from vacation, we learned that a new tenant had moved in.  At one glance we knew that we didn't like him.  His personal hygiene was deplorable not to mention his bathroom habits were disgusting.  Papa decided that he needed evicting and went to work at doing just that.  I discovered the grisley body and immediately slammed the cupboard door and let Papa remove the evidence later.  I find it funny that Mommy makes the remark about Sammy seeing a dead mouse but it's ok for Sammy to hear both her Mommy and her Mimi shriek like little girls when they see a live snake!

How do these things work again?

They'll work better if you turn them the other way, honey.  

Miss Happy

And this is how little Olivia got to go bike riding with all the Daddys.  Pretty clever, huh?

The chair tree

There is this one tree as you enter the area to the rv park where the tree has grown and the trunk is bent.  It is a perfect little seat for a perfect little girl.

No hats!

For being so fair, Olivia tans pretty well.  Including her scalp because she refuses to wear hats!

The Storyteller

Sammy would go off on her tangents.  Here is one that she is telling her Papa.  Halfway through it (2:45), you barely hear her say WhistlePig.  This is a little rodent up in the Tetons that's pretty cute.  But when she says it, it surprises all of us and we all start giggling.  It came out of nowhere!  Sammy calls marshmellows mushrooms and she's holding three little miniature ones in her hand for dessert.  This is a 5 minute video but she kept going and going and going on long after we turned the camera off.  It reminded me of the old Art Linkletter show, "Kids Say the Darndest Things"....

The balance beam

Sammy doesn't remember it but the previous year, Papa did this with her as well.  She liked it as long as Papa held on to her!

Don't make me smile, ok?

After lunch at the Snake River Brewery, (yes, we brought our grandchildren and children to a brew house.  It was the least crowded in Jackson and the Park)  someone...guess who...was very happy and Daddy put his hat on her.  This is a big deal because SHE HATES HATS.

The crew

Any given evening, you could find these stalkers gazing out the window watching all the other campers do what campers do.  And then they would start jumping and the adults would panic and call a halt to it all.

Sammy is such a sweet big sister...she was giving Olivia tastes of her chocolate ice cream cone.  I don't know who ate more...Sammy or Olivia!

Peekaboo, I see you!

Olivia managed to get herself underneath the tv tray inbetween a chair and a couch and had a great time.

If it's West Yellowstone....

It's time for ice cream.  Ice cream cones, ice cream sundaes, ice cream shakes...you name it, the family enjoys it.  Here Papa and Sammy get ready for the after dinner treats...waiting for our name to be called and our order ready...

Attitude Adjustment

Papa took little one for a walk letting Mommy have some free time to just sit and enjoy the late afternoon.

Somebody was tired

After the Discovery center, we all had lunch.  Olivia had a corn dog that she didn't finish but kept with her, even during her nap back to camp.

Bear fur

Sammy made up a whole scenario on why this bear's fur was here, detailing the bad bears and the good bears.  And who won the fight and obviously, who lost.
