It's a Pre-school Halloween!

Sammy was all dressed up along with her class last week for Halloween dress up day.  Her little friend above is dressed as Jessie from Toy Story.

These are ok, though

While Little Miss here doesn't like to wear hats, she does like the whole hair ribbon idea.  Many hair ribbons.

Patriotic Princess

After she recited the Pledge of Allegiance to us, Daddy had Sammy help put up the flag.

Sammy surprised Mommy the other day with this.  And then Sammy recited it for us.  Brought Papa to tears.

Andre the Giant. Not.

It does my heart good to see her pull herself up and stand these days...including standing without holding on to anything.  Way to go, Baby Girl!

Not again!

A few days ago, I showed you a photo of Sammy sound asleep in a face plant.  This photo was taken the following night.  As you can see, she's zonked out.  Again.  Now here's the thing.  I know of only one person who uses the ENTIRE bed to sleep in like this.  But I need to ask Nana...did Mommy sleep all over the bed when she was little?  Auntie Kenna not only slept like this, she did somersaults and cartwheels as well when she slept.  When we would travel together it got to be that I wouldn't share a bed with her because of all the different sleep positions she would get in.  It was exhausting for me to keep putting her back into the bed correctly.

The third one

Olivia has decided that it's time to learn how to climb stairs.  She fully understands the going up but it's the going down she does't like.  She splayed out like a plank as I tried to show her knees where to rest.  Rug burn on the belly.

A first

Today Sammy got ready to have her very first photo taken.  Ok, not really her FIRST photo.  I think I took her very first photo unless the doctor during delivery did.  But today was her very first SCHOOL photo.  Mommy said that she was so very excited about it and nervous as well.  I could tell her that she shouldn't be nervous at all because she is naturally photogenic.  She wouldn't understand but the rest of us would.

Nope. Nothin there yet.

It's October!

Her mouth is starting to fill up with teeth now.  A total of four showing and more on the way.  And that makes for a sore mouth and an unhappy baby girl.

Mommy calls this photo 'goofy girl'.  I don't know what Sammy was doing prior to the snapshot..but I think she looks pretty darn cute!

Since daddy and papa are going on a long trip to Montana Sammy decided she needed to make brownies for their trip!

My Penny!

Sammy's enjoyment of the new family puppy goes to the extreme.  This is my puppy and I'll not share it with you and your camera, Mimi.  Even though the puppy is exhausted and sleeping through all the noise.

Lambchop

Who remembers Shari Lewis and her Lambchop?  This is Olivia's Halloween costume.  Let's hope that she gets used to this by the end of the month.

Sammy's Costume

This year Sammy will be a Strawberry Princess, a costume she picked out personally.

Her name is Penny

Sammy and Olivia got a new puppy!  She is a cocker spaniel and her name is Penny!!

I understand her, don't you?

Most people can't understand baby babble, but Olivia's is so very easy to understand.  Here, I'll translate for you:

I'll have a Bacon Western Cheeseburger with extra onion rings.  A large order of fries, not the curly kind! A chocolate malt, please include a long handled spoon, too, ok?  Oh, wait, did I say extra onion rings?  Can I have an order of onion rings, too?  And one last thing, a little extra of the BBQ sauce for the cheeseburger.  Lots of napkins, too, ok?

 Sammy sees the Sea Lion and hears them 'barking'.  She thinks it's funny.

Olivia sees the Sea Lions and wants to join them.  She keeps pulling on the bars to get through.

Bridges

Sammy is such a good helper.  Here she is 'helping' Daddy stain the little bridge that they have now.  It is for the girls to use to cross over the faux stream bed to get to their swing set.  The stream bed is filled with ouchy rocks that hurt little feet so they needed a bridge.
